## Job Overview: Safety Officer (Geothermal)
The organization is searching for a committed and experienced Safety Officer to oversee daily operations, ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols within geothermal sites. In this critical function, you will act as the primary guardian of workplace safety, mitigating risks and protecting personnel in demanding industrial environments.
Core Responsibilities
As a Safety Officer, your daily duties will be diverse and demanding, requiring meticulous attention to detail. Key responsibilities include:
* Risk Assessment & Documentation: Formulate Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Task Risk Assessment (TRA) documents prior to the commencement of any operational activities.
* Equipment Compliance: Conduct thorough inspections of work machinery and tools, ensuring that all equipment certifications and operator competencies are valid and up to date.
* PPE Enforcement: Guarantee that every worker is equipped with complete, appropriate, and certified Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
* Permit Management: Prepare and submit Permit to Work (PTW) documentation, and ensure proper closure of PTW files once tasks are successfully finalized.
* Environmental Monitoring: Perform essential H₂S gas measurements prior to initiating work in potentially hazardous zones.
* Safety Briefings: Lead dynamic Pre-Job Safety Meetings (PJS) to align the team on daily hazard awareness.
* Field Supervision: Closely monitor active operations to guarantee total compliance with corporate and regulatory HSE standards.
* Data Management & Reporting: Keep accurate logs of all field HSE activities and draft comprehensive HSE performance reports.
* Training Delivery: Conduct regular awareness programs and safety training sessions for field personnel.
Candidate Qualifications
To qualify for this demanding position, applicants must meet specific professional criteria and possess verifiable industry credentials:
* Documentation Skills: Demonstrated ability to independently prepare JSA and HIRADC documentation.
* Specialized Training: Must have completed SIKA (Surat Izin Kerja Aman) training.
* Permit Systems Knowledge: A strong understanding of and capability to develop Pertamina PTW systems.
* Industry Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working as a Safety Officer within the oil and gas sector, with particular emphasis on oil well operations.
* Technical Competence: Proven capability in conducting accurate H₂S gas testing and measurements.
* Mandatory Certifications: Possession of a valid Oil & Gas HSE Certification is strictly required.
* Preferred Background: Previous direct involvement in Pertamina Geothermal Energy projects will be considered a significant advantage.
