General Qualifications
To ensure the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency, all applicants must meet the following baseline requirements:
* For Officer Positions: Possession of formal education certificates (minimum DIII/DIV/Bachelor’s degree) from recognized maritime academies or equivalent institutions.
* For Rating Positions: Possession of at least a high school diploma or equivalent (SMA/SMK).
* Documentation: A comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV), a valid police clearance certificate (SKCK), and a clean drug-free certificate issued by an official hospital or police department.
Technical and Competency Requirements
Candidates are required to hold valid Certificates of Competency (COC) and Certificates of Proficiency (COP) in accordance with STCW 2010 standards:
1. Minimum Certification Standards (COC)
* Captain/Deck Officers: Minimum ANT-IV.
* Engine Officers: Minimum ATT-IV.
* Ratings: Minimum Rating Forming Part of a Navigational Watch (RFPNW) / Engine Watch (RFPEW) or a Ship’s Cook Certificate for galley staff.
2. Specialized Proficiency Requirements (COP)
All candidates must hold current certifications relevant to their rank, including but not limited to:
* Deck Officers: Must hold certifications such as BST, SCRB, AFF, MFA, SSO, CMT, CMHB, MC, RS, AS, BRM, and (for Captains/Chief Mates) ECDIS and IMDG Code.
* Engine Officers: Required certifications include BST, SCRB, AFF, MFA, SSO, CMT, CMHB, MC, and ERM.
* Rating Personnel: Must hold valid BST, SCRB, AFF, SAT, and MFA certifications.
## Important Compliance and Application Notes
Candidates possessing GMDSS and ORU certificates will be given priority consideration; these are strictly mandatory for Captains and Chief Mates. Furthermore, all applicants must ensure that their medical certificates from the BKKP, Seaman’s Books, and mandatory training certificates (BST/SCRB) have a remaining validity of at least six months.
